Whether you're a beginner or an expert, Chalet Berengere has slopes to suit all levels!
The ground floor of the chalet is divided into a main dining area (seating 16) and the living area with mini library under the stairs and fireplace.
Chalet Berengere has a long history of hosting multiple families at the same time. For instance, as mentioned in the accommodation tab, the lower ground floor can be used independently as it has its own reception lounge area with open plan kitchen.
Ample parking outside the chalet plus a covered car port and a garage space (Four wheel drive and/or winter tyres recommended).
The house holds wonderful memories for us, our friends and our children (and grandchildren!) and we are keen to share it with other families so that traditions can live on!
Chalet Berengere offers 6 large bedrooms. On the first floor you have;
- The main bedroom which offers a queen sized bed, an en-suite (loo, shower and bath), walk in wardrobe and a wrap around terrace/balcony overlooking the mountains.
- Another room with two single beds (available to be made up together) with an en-suite (loo and shower).
- Lastly a room with two single beds (available to be made up together) and two children’s bunks with a bathroom down the hall (loo and shower). Both these rooms have french windows opening out onto a terrace.
The lower ground floor offers;
This floor has its own games area with full sized table tennis, rowing machine and various other workout equipment.
Also, there is a separate lounge seating area with TV, DVD player and a separate open plan kitchen area meaning that the lower ground floor is easy to be used for au-pair/nanny.
There are four sets of french windows leading out onto the garden affording wonderful views of the mountains and the valley beyond.
- A master bedroom with an ensuite (loo, bath and a shower), and french windows leading out onto the garden.
- Another room with two singles (available to be made into a double) with en-suite (loo and shower).
- A room with two sets of adult sized bunk beds with a bathroom adjacent (a bath) and a loo nextdoor. This room has a separate glazed door leading onto the garden.
A large utility room with washing machine, dryer and ironing area.
We don’t have up to date apps for the tv - we have working internet, which is sufficient for working from the chalet etc, however the times spent in the chalet have been family focused.
With that in mind we have table tennis downstairs, endless board games, a mini library and countless family friendly dvds.
The lower ground floor also offers a rowing machine and various other at home gym equipment, all of which is used at the guests’ own risk.
One of the main attractions of Chalet Berengere for families is that it is perfectly situated between Morzine and Les Gets so that for non-skiing members of the family, it is easy to meet up.
It is easy to walk into town along the river (pictured) where in Summer there is Go Ape and horse riding.
Both Morzine and Les Gets both offer wonderful hiking trails and both have bubbles for pedestrians to access so that they can meet skiers for lunch.
Chalet Berengere is on the Morzine ski shuttle bus route.
We have a lovely local couple who are available to help if needed with anything you might want.
They are able to offer cooked meals, French lessons and tours (at extra charge). They are of course also around should anything go wrong or you need any help.
